Stay and Play Policy

🏨 Stay to Play Policy - Edmonton Silver Ring Tournaments

To help ensure fair access to accommodations and support the overall success of our events, Edmonton Ringette has implemented a Stay to Play policy for both the November 2025 and January 2026 Silver Ring Tournaments.

Who Does This Apply To?

All teams traveling 100 km or more (one way) to Edmonton are required to book their accommodations through our official partner, HTG Sports, in order to participate in the tournament.

• Distance is calculated using the Team Manager’s mailing address
• Once accepted into the tournament, teams will receive a booking code to use when reserving rooms through HTG Sports

📝 Exemption Requests

We understand that some teams or individuals may have unique circumstances. Exemptions from the Stay to Play policy may be granted under the following conditions:

• Proximity Exemption: Teams or athletes living within 100 km of Edmonton, or staying with family/friends within that radius, may request an exemption
• Special Exemption: Other exemption requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by our Stay to Play Committee. A formal exemption form must be submitted for consideration

📌 Note: Clubs located within 100 km of Edmonton are not required to book through HTG Sports and are automatically exempt from this policy.

🏨 Hotel Booking

All accommodations for eligible teams must be arranged through HTG Sports, our exclusive hotel provider for the Silver Ring Tournaments.
