Silver Ring (January) Jamboree
🎉 Welcome to the Silver Ring Tradition
Join us for a weekend of spirited competition, community celebration, and unforgettable ringette action! The January Jamboree and Open Tournament is back and better than ever, welcoming teams from across Alberta and beyond.
Tournament Details
Divisions:
- Active Start
- U10 Step 1, Step 2, Step 3
- Open Division (B and C)
Format:
- The Silver Ring (January 2026) Jamboree is a Stay and Play tournament.
- AS and Step 1 are guaranteed 3 games. Step 2, Step 3, Open B, and Open C are guaranteed 4 full ice games.
- Medals for Gold, Silver and Bronze in each division (U10 Step 2 and Step 3, Open B, OpenC ).
- Active Start and Step 1: this is a friendship, half-ice tournament and each player is awarded a participation medal.
Fees:
- Active Start: FREE!!
- U10 Step 1: $700
- U10 Step 2 and Step 3: $900
- Open B and Open C: $1200

🏨 Stay to Play Policy
To help ensure fair access to accommodations and support the overall success of our events, Edmonton Ringette has implemented a Stay to Play policy for the January 2026 Silver Ring Jamboree and Open Tournament.
Who Does This Apply To?
All teams traveling 100 km or more (one way) to Edmonton are required to book their accommodations through our official partner, HTG Sports, in order to participate in the tournament.
- Distance is calculated using the Team Manager’s mailing address
- Once accepted into the tournament, teams will receive a booking code to use when reserving rooms through HTG Sports
Exemption Requests
We understand that some teams or individuals may have unique circumstances. Exemptions from the Stay to Play policy may be granted under the following conditions:
- Proximity Exemption: Teams or athletes living within 100 km of Edmonton, or staying with family/friends within that radius, may request an exemption
- Special Exemption: Other exemption requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by our Silver Ring Committee. A formal exemption form must be submitted for consideration
📌 Note: Clubs located within 100 km of Edmonton are not required to book through HTG Sports and are automatically exempt from this policy.
Hotel Booking
All accommodations for eligible teams must be arranged through HTG Sports, our exclusive hotel provider for the Silver Ring Tournaments.
Game Schedule:
- Final schedule posted by January 5, 2026
- No changes will be made once the schedule is finalized
- Coaches/Managers will receive info packages via email prior to the event
Registration
- The deadline to register is September 29, 2025.
- Payment is by credit card at the time of registration.
- Please note that you are not considered in the tournament if you have just registered, you will be contacted by the tournament coordinator either way.
- Teams will be notified of acceptance by the end of day on September 30, 2025.
- Teams not accepted will have their refund processed by October 6, 2025.
- Teams withdrawing prior to September 29, 2025 will receive a full refund, less a $25 administration fee. Teams withdrawing after September 29, 2025 will not receive a refund; if the vacated spot can be filled by a team of the same competition level, consideration will be given to providing a full or partial refund (to be determined based on timing of the withdrawal and impact to tournament planning).
